Welcome to the new website of the Philadelphia Sketch Comedy Festival hereto forth known on this site as Philly Sketchfest. We also promise never to use the term “hereto forth” as well. That’s the phillysketchfest.com guarantee.

Philly Sketchfest’s (PSF) goal is to entertain audiences, support the growth of Philadelphia’s comedy community, and celebrate national and international sketch groups with unique shows, performers, and panels. PSF is also home to the annual Dirtiest Sketch in Philadelphia contest created by Don Montrey (ComedySportz Philly).

Philly Sketchfest was created in 2007 by Ben Maher and David Terruso & Matt Lally (Animosity Pierre) and celebrates a new monthly sketch comedy showcase in 2015 and it’s annual festival in 2016. Current producers include Maher, Brian Kelly (Secret Pants / Sketch Up or Shut Up) and Curt Riedy (High Dramma).

This website will serve as your direct link to all things Philly Sketchfest including times & dates of shows, performing groups and special features on all things related to sketch comedy in-and-around Philadelphia.

Our productions take place at The Playground of the Adrienne Theater (1st Door on the left when you enter) and our upcoming festival in April 2016 will also feature shows at Johnny Brenda’s.

To start, we already have some upcoming shoes that we think you should know about.

Barbara Bush performs October 11th in preparation for their appearance at the Cross Roads Comedy Festival in Indianapolis, IN.

Then, November 20th, The Dirtiest Sketch in Philadelphia returns to The Playground at the Adrienne. Care to share your filthiest thoughts with a group of strangers in the form of short plays? Fantastic, our submission form is live here until September 30, 2015. Line-up will be announced in October!

Thanks for visiting and check back soon for more information on our December 18th and our New Year’s Day Sketch Hangover show!
